Al Jalila Foundation Objectives

Al Jalila Foundation is one of 33 institutions that fall under the umbrella of the Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum Global Initiatives, which embodies the vision of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum to change the reality of the Arab world through humanitarian and community work.

Al Jalila Foundation seeks to support medical treatment for people who are unable to afford quality healthcare, provides scholarships to develop national cadres of healthcare professionals, and supports groundbreaking research addressing common health problems in the region; cancer, cardiovascular disease, diabetes, obesity, and other mental health conditions.

Brest Friends Program

Brest Friends is the first breast cancer support group in the UAE, founded in 2005 by Dr. Houria Kazem, where patients and breast cancer survivors meet monthly to exchange experiences and provide emotional support to each other.

Pinktober Campaign

October is considered breast cancer awareness month globally to raise awareness of this disease and collect donations to support research conducted on it.

The #Pinktober campaign is Al Jalila Foundation's breast cancer fundraising campaign, where hundreds of organizations collaborate with Al Jalila Foundation to organize events across the UAE to raise funds to support the Breast Cancer Program.
