A New Entertainment Curfew Has Been Imposed In Dubai

Issued by Dubai’s Department of Tourism and Commerce Marketing (DTCM), a curfew has been put in place across the entertainment and nightlife scene in Dubai from Thursday, September 24.

All entertainment activities including, venues and conferences in Dubai will have to wind up their activities latest by 1 am. However, licensed outlets are allowed to serve food and beverages by 3 am at the latest due to the growing number of COVID-19 cases.

All social distancing protocols must be followed including the rule where restaurants in Dubai have been notified to restrict the group size to eight individuals per table in a general restaurants and five people per table in a shisha café.

Outlets must ensure visitors wear face masks at all times, except while eating. "Outlets should also have a defined social distance plan by keeping tables two metres apart from each other or by introducing temporary isolators," tweeted the authority.

All other fines are still in place for not adhering to any social distancing rules or for now following any health and safety precautions.
