The International Astronautical Federation (IAF) announced that the representative of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, Engineer Mishael Al-Shammari, was elected to the position of Vice-President of the IAF, after winning the votes of fourteen candidates from all over the world, making her the first Saudi woman to hold a leadership position in the IAF.
Mashael Al-Shamimary won well-deservedly because of her enhanced vision for the development of the space sector globally, and for her contribution to the development and strengthening of the directions of the International Astronautical Federation.
