New eco oasis, Al Fay Park, opened on Reem Island in Abu Dhabi on January 20. His Highness Sheikh Khaled bin Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Member of the Executive Council and Chairman of Executive Office inaugurated the opening of the park.
The park will focus on enhancing the biodiversity in the Emirate and will feature a forest-like ecosystem with trees and flora.
Boasting 2,000 local trees, the sprawling 27,500-square-metre, forest-like space the new destination welcomed dozens of visitors during the weekend.
Al Fay hosts courts for basketball and futsal, ping-pong tables, a skatepark, rock-climbing walls, monkey bars, and multiple tree-lined, cobbled and water-facing walkways all made from natural materials.
