Abu Dhabi Shisha Services Resume with COVID-19 Measures

The Department of Economic Development in Abu Dhabi has permitted licensed restaurants, cafes and tourist service facilities across Abu Dhabi to offer shisha (hookah) services in line with precautionary measures to reduce the spread of COVID-19.
The department took to twitter to announce that the facilities must adhere to safety measures to reduce the spread of Covid-19.

The measures are as follows:
- Only single-use hookah equipment and pipes must be used.
- Smoking areas need to be isolated.
- Hookah sampling before serving is prohibited.
- Number of cleaning shifts must be increased in smoking areas.
