In an electrifying Saudi Pro League clash on Friday, Nov. 1, 2024, Al Nassr faced off against their historic rivals Al Hilal in a match that had Riyadh buzzing with anticipation.

Held at Al Awwal Park, this match featured intense play from both sides. Al Hilal aimed to defend their top-of-the-league status and unbeaten record, while Al Nassr sought to gain ground and close the gap at third place.
Al Hilal entered the game riding high on exceptional form, boasting an undefeated streak with 25 points from eight matches, a record that positioned them firmly at the league's summit. Their offensive prowess was evident with an impressive 23 goals scored, bolstered by players like Neymar and Sergej Milinković-Savić. Meanwhile, Al Nassr, with 19 points, aimed to capitalize on their strong home record to narrow the six-point gap between them and their rivals. Al Nassr’s star-studded lineup, led by Cristiano Ronaldo and Sadio Mané, has been formidable throughout the season, especially with a successful series of home games.

Al Nassr's Talisca surprised everyone and scored the first goal for his team in the first minute of the match, receiving assistance from Otavio. Al Hilal was not able to match up the score in the first half of the game.
However, in the 77th minute, Al Hilal's midfielder Sergej Milinković-Savić scored a goal for his team with the assistance of Renan Lodi.
Neither team was able to score a second goal for the remainder of the game with Al Hilal losing a potential penalty as well after a VAR review in the 87th minute.
Al Hilal's next match is against Al Ettifaq on Friday, Nov. 8 and Al Nassr's next match is against Al Riyadh on the same date.
