Under Royal Patronage

Organized under the patronage of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, with His Highness Shaikh Abdullah bin Hamad Al Khalifa chairing the Supreme Organizing Committee, BIAS reflects Bahrain’s commitment to global excellence. The event will showcase over 125 aircraft, offering visitors close-up views and thrilling aerobatic displays that highlight the latest innovations in the aviation world.

A Showcase of Innovation and Networking

Yousif Mohammed Mahmoud, Director General of BIAS at the Ministry of Transportation and Telecommunications, expressed optimism about BIAS 2024. “This year’s airshow is a step up in quality and branding. We’ve worked hard to improve the event and have brought together major players from across the globe,” Mahmoud told Bahrain News Agency (BNA). Spread over 14,000 square meters, the event space will include 40 chalets and an exhibition hall featuring advanced technology in aircraft and aviation services.

For businesses, BIAS is more than just a display—it's a networking hub for industry leaders. "BIAS has proven to be a valuable platform for business deals, with the last show seeing $1.82 billion in commitments,” Mahmoud added. He also emphasized the economic impact of the aviation sector, which, according to IATA, employs over 30 million people worldwide and contributes over 8% to the global GDP.

Global Reach and Record Footfall

With representatives from 56 countries, BIAS 2024 is expected to attract record-breaking attendance. The venue proudly displays flags from each participating nation, a symbol of Bahrain’s position as a global business-friendly destination. “We are expecting a record-breaking footfall, welcoming enthusiasts from civil and military aviation backgrounds alike,” Mahmoud said.

This year’s event also features contributions from over 20 government and semi-government entities and 11 sponsoring companies, along with 223 delegations and 60 regional and international companies.

New Exhibits and International Pavilions

BIAS 2024 will host over 135 exhibitors across the exhibition hall, airfield, chalets, and five international pavilions. For the first time, 12 international ground-handling companies from the EU, Asia, and the US will join, along with VoltAero, a leading aviation development firm. Dedicated pavilions for Bahrain, Saudi Arabia, the UAE, China, and the US will highlight each country’s role in advancing the aviation industry.

A New Brand Identity for BIAS

This year, BIAS will introduce a refreshed identity, including a new logo inspired by runway markings that symbolize partnership, innovation, and global trade. This updated branding emphasizes Bahrain’s role in connecting the world through aviation.

BIAS 2024 promises an unmatched experience for aviation enthusiasts and industry professionals alike, firmly placing Bahrain on the map as a key player in global aviation and innovation.
