His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister of Bahrain, has issued a directive adjusting official working hours for government employees during Ramadan.

According to the circular, ministries, public authorities, and government institutions across the Kingdom will operate from 8AM to 2PM throughout the holy month.

Supporting Work-Life Balance During Ramadan

The reduced hours aim to maintain productivity while allowing employees to fast and engage in religious activities with greater ease. This tradition of adjusting work schedules during Ramadan is part of Bahrain’s commitment to supporting a healthy work-life balance while ensuring public services remain accessible.

Private Sector Encouraged to Offer Flexibility

While the directive applies to government entities, private sector companies are encouraged to adopt flexible working arrangements in accordance with labor laws and internal policies.
