Expats Caught in Restricted Waters
Four expats were arrested after being caught with 364 grams of illegally harvested crabs. The Coast Guard intercepted them in a restricted area and, upon searching their boat, discovered the illegal catch. Now, they’re facing legal action as the Public Prosecution investigates the case.
What Happens Next?
The authorities have seized two boats and the fishing equipment used in the illegal operation. Interestingly, the confiscated crabs will be auctioned off, with the proceeds going to the court’s treasury. The case will soon be presented to the appropriate court, and the violators could face severe penalties.
