The event will be held at Bu Maher Fort and the event is about celebrating the coming of Eid Al Adha

Heya Beya means 'plants or grass'  and it is a Bahraini tradition, which involves children throwing the plants they have grown into the sea while they sing songs.

The children grow these plants in baskets made of date palm leaves and they do so some days before Eid, therefore on the day of Arafat, they set afloat their plant baskets in the sea.

Heya Beya is a ritual that is annually practised to revive Bahraini cultural heritage and to instill in children the lesson of letting go of the things they are attached to.
