Bahrain Defense Force has operated its first humanitarian relief flight via Royal Bahrain Air Force planes to earthquake-affected Turkey.

The flight was loaded with 55.7 tonnes of relief materials, medical equipment, shelter tents, food, and logistical aid.
This came in implementation of the royal directives of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, the Supreme Commander of the Armed Forces.
This move also came in coordination with the Royal Humanitarian Foundation (RHF) to carry out the process of handing over and distributing relief materials to the quake-affected people.
The air bridge will continue to send aid via flights over several days.
On February 6th, A 7.8 magnitude earthquake hit Southeast Turkey and Northern Syria, leaving over 46,000 people dead in both countries.

This earthquake, which left thousands of people without homes, is considered one of the most powerful quakes in the region in recent years.
