Bahrain Plants Over 50,000 Trees as Part of National Afforestation

The second phase of the nationwide afforestation initiative "Forever Green" has been completed, according to the National Initiative for Agricultural Development (NIAD).
By planting more than 50,814 trees and shrubs, over 13,589 square metres, and 10,288 linear metres, the campaign finished a number of initiatives.

Additionally, 57 afforestation projects in various cities and municipalities throughout the Kingdom were accomplished by the programme.
In order to address climate concerns and achieve zero neutrality by 2060, Her Royal Highness Princess Sabeeka bint Ibrahim Al Khalifa, wife of His Majesty the King, and president of NIAD, created Forever Green!
