Bahrain has the second-highest percentage of female workers during the third quarter (Q3) of 2022 among the Arab Gulf nations, according to GCC Statistical Center (GCC-STAT).

In Bahrain, women make up 23.7% of the labour force. Approximately 76.3% of them are male counterparts.

These figures reflect a substantial advancement in gender equality, with women securing positions in the workforce.

First was the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC).

With over 29.8% of women employed in the sectors, Kuwait earns the top spot, with Bahrain securing the runner-up position with pride.

Qatar and Oman are ranked fourth and fifth, respectively, while Saudi Arabia is closely behind in third position.

According to data for the Arab Gulf nations, men continue to hold a majority of all employment positions, making up around 80.6% of all positions, with women holding the remaining 19.4%.
