How to Get Nine Days Off
To extend your break, book two annual leave days strategically between the public holiday and the weekend. Here’s how it works:
- If Eid falls from Sunday to Tuesday, take leave on Wednesday and Thursday to enjoy nine days off in a row.
- If Eid falls from Monday to Wednesday, take leave on Sunday and Thursday to maximize your break.
- If you work on Saturdays, you’ll need to book additional leave for those days, which could bring the total to four annual leave days.
Act Fast Before Your Colleagues Do
Annual leave requests tend to pile up around public holidays, so it’s best to plan ahead and submit your leave request early before your coworkers do. A little planning now can mean a longer, well-earned vacation later.
