Bahrain's government will disburse allowances to Bahraini employees with advanced degrees from recognized universities soon after a proposal for this initiative receives approval from the Bahrain Parliament.

Who Will Receive This Allowance?
Bahraini employees will receive the following allowances:
- An employee with a higher diploma will be given BD20.
- An employee with a master's degree will be given BD 40.
- An employee with a doctoral degree will be given BD 60.
According to the proposal, these allowances should be disbursed to employees with advanced degrees under specific regulations.
This allowance is called the 'Educational Qualification Allowance in the proposal that is to be submitted to the parliament.
This allowance should not be combined with any other educational qualification allowance.
However, the allowance will not be applicable for positions where academic qualifications are a prerequisite for employment or promotion.
The proposal was developed to encourage scientific research amongst Bahrainis and to support national talent among public sector employees.
