Bahrain's Shura Council has approved the decision to join the Artemis Accords, which plans to land the first woman on the moon by 2024 and with this decision, Bahrain is paving the way for the first woman on the moon to be Bahraini.

The National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA) launched the Artemis Accords in 2020, which is a non-binding multilateral arrangement signed by the US and other world governments to return humans to the moon by 2025 and develop various initiatives to make successful achievements in space exploration. 

The Shura Council's approval signifies Bahrain's commitment to this mission and its readiness to contribute to the development of space exploration. 

Bahrain is also about to launch significant space projects and with this decision, the country will make history by paving the path for the first woman on the Moon to be Bahraini.
