Bahrain to Open Pet Park with Shelter for 5000 Stray Dogs

According to recent news, a new pet park is soon to be opened in Askar which will have a shelter capable of accommodating more than 5000 stray dogs.
The announcement was made by Wael bin Nasser Al Mubarak, the Minister of Municipalities Affairs and Agriculture. The location has already been identified and the planning phase is underway to determine the budget required for the project.

The pet park will span an area of 50,000 square meters and will feature amenities such as walkways, play areas, and seating arrangements. Stray dogs from all over Bahrain will be housed in the park after undergoing sterilization procedures.
This initiative is expected to address the issue of stray dogs in the country and provide them with a safe and comfortable environment to live in.
