Bahraini falconers made their country proud in Saudi Arabia, and we can’t help but feel very happy for them. Soaring to new heights, Bahrain brought pride and honor to their nation at the AlUla Falcon Cup – a prestigious competition held in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. The mammoth affair attracted over 2,000 professional falconers from across the region that are dead set on the largest cash prizes ever seen in the history of this ancient sport. If you don’t know what we mean by that, we mean prizes that amount to SAR60 million (which equates to BD6 million). Yup, you read that right.

Among these winners was Bahraini falconer Mohammed Alajmi who nabbed the first place at the ‘Farkh Freestyle’ category with his awe-inspiring companion 'Tafash'. The falcon’s light speed helped secure an impressive time of 19.616 seconds on the clock which led to Alajmi earning a magnificent prize of SAR100,000 (BD10,000).
