Bahrain's cutting-edge electronic passport has secured an impressive tally of three gold awards and seven silver awards at the esteemed London Design Awards. Launched in March 2023 by Interior Minister His Highness Sheikh Rashid bin Abdullah Al Khalifa, this passport excelled among 3,000 entries from 45 countries worldwide.

Celebrating Design Excellence
The London Design Awards acknowledge exceptional designs across diverse domains such as architecture, interior design, product design, graphic design, and digital design. Bahrain's e-passport stands out with its embodiment of unique Arabian elements, featuring a striking depiction of a galloping Arabian horse and a majestic falcon.

Distinctive in its narrative, the passport beautifully portrays Bahrain's historical significance as a hub of pearl trade. Simultaneously, it highlights the Kingdom's recent milestones and its ambitious 2030 vision for the future.
Acknowledgment and Praise
Sheikh Hisham bin Abdulrahman Al Khalifa, the Undersecretary of the Ministry of Interior for Nationality, Passports, and Residence Affairs (NPRA), commended the minister's guidance and unwavering support for the electronic passport initiative. He specifically highlighted the Minister's role as the Chairman of the Ministerial Committee for Information Technology and Communication, emphasizing the passport's modern design and robust security standards in alignment with the Ministry's digital transformation plans.
