Bahrain's national team won the world championship in Mixed Martial Arts (MMA) for the first time in its history on Saturday, February 18th.
Bahrain's Magomed Sheikhov beat Ruslan Abdrakhmanov via Split Decision to win Senior World gold at the 2022 MMAWorlds and become Senior Male Strawweight Champion.

Also, Bahrain's Murad Ibragimov claimed the gold medal for the first time in the Men's Bantamweight Final via Split Decision on Friday, February 17th.

The championship was organized by Serbian MMA Federation from February 11th to 18th in Belgrade, under the supervision of the International Mixed Martial Arts Federation (IMMAF).
