Bahrain’s e-passport has clinched the prestigious 2024 Red Dot Design Award, an international acknowledgment of the nation's exceptional design standards. The award ceremony is slated for November 1, 2024, in Berlin.
Sheikh Hisham bin Abdulrahman Al Khalifa, Undersecretary of the Ministry of Interior for Nationality, Passports, and Residence Affairs, expressed immense pride in this recognition.
Sheikh Hisham emphasized that this accolade highlights the e-passport’s sophisticated design, robust security features, and state-of-the-art technology, reflecting Bahrain’s dedication to delivering superior services.
Special thanks were extended to the e-passport team and all contributors. Amidst global entries, Bahrain’s e-passport secured the “Best of the Best” title, underscoring that this win is just the beginning of their journey in excellence.
Professor Peter Zec, founder and CEO of Red Dot, congratulated the Bahrain team, praising the unique and creative excellence of the e-passport's design.
