Thai authorities arrested two Indian women at Bangkok airport, when they seized 109 live animals, including rare animals, in their bags.
Nithya Raja, 38, and Zakia Salthana, 24, were on their way from Bangkok to Chennai in India, but X-ray machines exposed them before they boarded the plane.

The officers detected 50 chameleons, 35 tortoises, 20 snakes, two armadillos, and two white porcupines (a large rodent with thorns covering its body), stuffed into two bags of the two women, and two dead iguanas, while all the reptiles were dehydrated.
Thailand is a major transit hub for wild animal smugglers, who often head to Vietnam or China where they are used for commercial or industrial purposes.
Thailand's Department of National Parks, Wildlife, and Plant Conservation said the animals were receiving treatment and would be taken to a veterinary center or breeding facility. "This kind of smuggling attempt has happened several times," said Sathon Konggwen, head of the airport's wildlife inspection office. The official estimated the value of these animals at around 200,000 baht (about $5,600).
The two women were accused of violating 3 laws, namely the Wildlife Protection and Conservation Law, the Animal Epidemiology Law, and the Customs Law.
