Coughlan has called on her followers to support five fundraisers for humanitarian support in Gaza.
She helped raise funds for Medical Aid for Palestine, ActionAid UK, and the Palestine Children’s Relief Fund (PCRF).
The Medical Aid fundraiser raised $99,451 and ActionAid raised $17,211. The PCRF fundraiser raised $1.7 million.
Coughlan has been vocal about her support for Palestinians during her promotions for Bridgerton. She recently wore an 'Artists for Ceasefire' pin to an interview with USA Today.
When asked about why she wore it, she said, "It’s very important for me because I feel like I’m a very privileged person. I’m doing my dream job and I’m getting to travel the world, but then I’m hyper-aware of what’s happening in Rafah at the moment.”
The Hadid Sisters Donate to Gaza
American supermodel sisters Gigi and Bella Hadid also donated one million dollars to relief efforts in Gaza recently.
The funds were reported to be equally distributed among four humanitarian organizations Heal Palestine, Palestine Children’s Relief Fund (PCRF), World Central Kitchen (WCK), and the UN Relief and Works Agency (UNRWA).
The Hadid sisters are of Palestinian origin and the donation comes after Bella Hadid's viral appearance at the Cannes Film Festival, wearing a keffiyeh dress.
