The UAE on Saturday reported 705 new cases of Covid-19 from an additional 82,333 tests.

The Ministry of Health and Prevention also confirmed 494 more recoveries and one more fatality.

India’s coronavirus cases crossed 4 million on Saturday, leading the world in new infections and closing in on Brazil’s total as the second-highest in the world.

Meanwhile, the World Health Organisation has called for countries around the world to join forces to tackle the virus together.

The WHO does not expect widespread vaccinations against Covid-19 until the middle of next year, a spokeswoman said on Friday.

Global cases stand at 26.3 million, with 869,300 deaths and 17.5 million recoveries.
