In joyous news, Jordan’s Crown Prince Hussein bin Abdullah and Saudi-born Princess Rajwa Al-Hussein welcomed their first child, a baby girl named Iman, on Saturday morning.

The Royal Hashemite Court announced the arrival of Princess Iman, bringing immense happiness to the entire royal family. King Abdullah expressed his delight on social media, sharing that his granddaughter’s birth has "enlightened the family." Queen Rania also extended her heartfelt congratulations to the new parents, wishing them blessings on their journey.

Although Jordan’s constitution dictates that the throne passes to male heirs, meaning there will be no change in the line of succession, the birth of Princess Iman is a celebrated moment. Crown Prince Hussein remains the heir to the throne, followed by his brother, Prince Hashem. Princess Iman will hold the titles of Her Royal Highness and princess, adding to the rich history and tradition of the Jordanian royal family.

Princess Rajwa, who turned 30 in April, brings a notable heritage to the family. She is the daughter of the late Saudi businessman Khalid bin Musaed bin Saif bin Abdulaziz Al-Saif, and Azza bint Nayef Abdulaziz Ahmad Al-Sudairi. This blend of Jordanian and Saudi heritage enhances the significance of Princess Iman’s birth.

The birth of Princess Iman has been celebrated widely, with heartfelt congratulations pouring in from around the globe. This new chapter for the Jordanian royal family is being embraced with joy and excitement by the nation and beyond.
