Unless you are a vegetarian, you must have tasted or heard of Shawarma! Just like Falafel, Shawarma is a Middle Eastern dish consisting of slices of meat cut into thin slices and stacked in a cone-like shape, roasted on a slowly-turning vertical spit.

Originally made of lamb with fat dripping making it even more appetizing! However, with changing tastes from people around the world, it is now done with chicken, turkey, beef, or veal.  One difference between the chicken and meat is usually, chicken has a special garlic sauce, while meat Shawarma is served with tahini and molasses sauce. 

Thin slices are shaved off the cooked surface as it continuously rotates.  Shawarma is one of the world's most popular street foods around the world with customized toppings and names such as Doner.
