Google Launches Pixel 9 Smartphones

Tech giant Google launched the Pixel 9 smartphone lineup on Tuesday, Aug. 13.
The series features a foldable phone with the largest screen for foldable smartphones, a smartwatch, earbuds, and upgrades for its AI tool Gemini.
The new smartphone series features Pixel 9, Pixel 9 Pro, and Pixel 9 Pro XL. The smartphones feature improved AI capabilities.
The Pro models come in 6.3-inch and 6.8-inch sizes and a 42-megapixel front camera.
The smartphone's cameras feature a magic editor and video boost for better photo and video quality.
The Google Pixel 9 phones are powered by the company's in-house chip Tensor G4.
The new smartphones also feature call notes so users can get a private summary and full transcript of their calls after they have hung up. During a call, everyone will be notified about the user utilizing this feature.
All seven devices offer seven years of operating system and security updates. Users of the Pixel 9 smartphones will be offered an over-the-air update of Android 15 in September or October.
Pixel 9 and Pixel 9 Pro XL will be available at the Google Store and its retail partners on Aug. 22, while Pixel 9 Pro and Pixel 9 Pro Fold will be on shelves on Sep. 4.

Pixel Buds Pro 2 and Pixel Watch 3 will be available from Sep. 26 and Sep. 10.
