After being pursued by photographers, Prince Harry, his wife Meghan, and her mother engaged in a "near catastrophic" car chase, according to his spokesperson.
Following their Tuesday night attendance at an awards event in New York, the Duke, and Duchess of Sussex were involved in the incident. The "relentless pursuit" continued for more than two hours, according to a statement from the prince's spokesperson.

They continued by saying that it led to almost colliding with other motorists, pedestrians, and police officers. "While being a public figure comes with a level of interest from the public, it should never come at the cost of anyone's safety. Dissemination of these images, given the ways in which they were obtained, encourages a highly intrusive practice that is dangerous to all in involved."
Partly as a consequence of what was said to be extreme media harassment, Harry and Meghan left their royal positions in 2020 and relocated to the United States.
The car's chase reminds people of the tragic tragedy that killed Princess Diana in 1997, despite the fact that not many details regarding this incident have been developed.
