The 67-year-old patient from Bahrain suffered from pain in the lower right abdomen and blood in the urine persisting for one year, with the pain intensifying over the past month.

After seeking medical attention at multiple hospitals in Bahrain, the patient was recommended conservative management. This approach was advised due to the patient's unusual anatomical placement of the right kidney in the pelvis and the presence of a 1.8 cm renal pelvic stone.

The renal pelvic stone was removed with a pyelolithotomy Surgery through a small incision.

Dr. Monish Cherian successfully conducted the surgery, which lasted for only 30 minutes. Following the procedure, the patient was discharged from the hospital after 60 hours of observation and recovery.

Renal Ectopia with stones is rare, and as the stone is located in abnormally located kidneys, it poses a challenge to the urologist. This is the first reported case of an ectopic kidney with a stone treated successfully in Bahrain at the King Hamad American Mission Hospital.
