His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa led the 33rd Arab Summit on Thursday, May 16 in Bahrain where all the Arab leaders have gathered to discuss Arab cooperation during current challenges.

His Royal Highness the Crown Prince and Prime Minister Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa welcomed the President of Egypt Abdel Fattah El-Sisi and Jordan's King Abdullah II Ibn Al Hussein on Wednesday, May 15. 

HM King Hamad began the summit with an important speech welcoming guests. 

The issues addressed at the Arab Summit include the wars in Gaza and Sudan as well as the political issues of Somalia, Libya, and Lebanon. 

Bahrain has worked with the Arab League to prepare the Kingdom for the summit. 

Five highways have been closed on Thursday, May 16 and classes have also been cancelled to ensure the smooth operations of the Arab Summit.
