Ingredients:
- 500 g flour
- 150 g butter
- 3 cups milk
- 1 cup sugar
- yeast
- One and a half teaspoon salt
How to prepare:
- In the first stage, the butter is melted until it becomes liquid, then all the ingredients are mixed together and the dough is left until it is leavened for two hours.
- In the second stage: the ingredients required to prepare the second stage of the dough:
- 150 grams butter
- 2 cups sugar
- 5-6 eggs
- Vanilla
- 1 kilo of flour

-Warm the butter until it becomes liquid, separate the egg yolks from the white, mix the yolks well with half the required amount of sugar, and add the mixture to the dough. Then add the flour in small batches, the whipped white, and the rest of the sugar and vanilla. - Mix the dough by hand for about an hour and leave it for an hour and a half to two hours.
- In the third stage: add raisins and crushed nuts to the dough that was prepared during the second stage, or any dried fruits as desired, along with spices: such as saffron, cardamom and ginger.
-Cut the dough with the preparation of metal molds, to give the dough when placed in different beautiful shapes.
- Grease the metal molds with butter and add a not large amount of dough to the mold, in case the sourdough does not spill from the mold when grilling it in the oven, and then cover the end of the mold with a piece of cloth and leave it before entering the oven for half an hour. Then put the Easter cake pans into the oven at a temperature of 200 degrees for a period of approximately 40-45 minutes.
