IDEX: UAE Armed Forces Sign AED29 Billion in Military Deals

On the Second day of IDEX International Defence Exhibition and Conference, the UAE Armed Forces awarded contracts worth AED29 billion ($1.98bn).

According to The National, Staff Brig Gen Mohammed Al Hassani, official spokesman for Idex and the Naval Defence and Maritime Security Exhibition said the Armed Forces signed 11 deals, including nine worth AED6.98bn with international companies whereas local companies won contracts valued at AED310 million.
Meanwhile, UAE Armed Forces signed $1.37bn of military deals on day one.
