In a violent reaction to the loss and elimination from the 2022 Qatar World Cup, Uruguayan striker Edinson Cavani smashed the VAR screen.
During his exit from the pitch of Al Janoub stadium, Cavani pushes the VAR device with his hand, to fall directly to the ground, amid the astonishment of the arbitration staff and the World Cup organizing committee.
It is worth noting that the Uruguay national team was eliminated from the World Cup, despite its victory over Ghana 2-0, and came third behind South Korea, which excelled on goal difference.
