Dubai, UAE, 22 October 2024: Instagram by Meta announced the launch of 'Music Loves Threads,' a first-of-its-kind initiative with LP.ME Studios and Anghami, designed to transform how music and storytelling come together. By integrating Instagram and Threads, this initiative offers artists and audiences a more immersive and interactive approach to experience the creative process behind music.

Through this initiative, Meta will coordinate content across Instagram and Threads, offering fans a comprehensive view of the music-making process. Threads will delve into the contextual elements of each song, exploring the inspirations, meaning, and creative journey behind it, while Instagram will highlight the visual and auditory aspects, from sound production to music videos and behind-the-scenes visuals. LP.ME will provide filming spaces and offer professional sound engineering support during the recording process, while Anghami will amplify the experience by adding the produced music to the 'Music Loves Threads' playlist, allowing fans to discover and stream the latest creations.

Samer Jamal, Strategic Partner Manager, Global Partnerships, Middle East and North Africa at Meta, shared his enthusiasm about the launch: “At Instagram, we believe in the power of storytelling—whether through music, visuals, or conversation. With 'Music Loves Threads,' we are bringing artists and fans closer than ever, blending platforms to create an enriched experience that deepens our connection to the music we love. This initiative not only showcases the incredible talent in our region but also offers creators and emerging artists a unique opportunity to reach a wider audience and engage meaningfully with their communities. We are excited to partner with LP.ME and Anghami to help these remarkable artists take their craft to the next level while inspiring a new generation of music enthusiasts."

Notable regional talents kicked off the Music Loves Threads initiative, driving a wave of creativity and musical innovation across the platform. Several have already made a splash, with Farah Nakhoul (@farah.nakhoul) producing the first-ever Threads-integrated music video “Ma Tehlam”, which echoed across the region.

Instagram offers a variety of tools that place artists at the center of music discovery. This includes features like ‘Add Yours’ Music sticker and the new vinyl record sticker; adding songs to Spotify playlists with a single click; playing songs with Feed posts; as well as other in-app features that encourage the online community to explore, share, and connect through songs that express their ideas, emotions, and current moods.

You can also join the conversation by showcasing your talent with a reel and carrying the discussion over to Threads. Use the #MusicLovesThreads hashtag on Reels and the 'Music Loves Threads' topic in your Threads posts to connect with other musicians, creators and enthusiasts.
