King Hamad's University Hospital ranks 44th in Brand Finance's list of "2023 World's Top 250 Hospitals", which made it the third-best hospital in the Middle East and Africa (MEA) region.
The inaugural list was based on a study by brand valuation consultancy Brand Finance revealing the brand strength of the world’s leading Academic Medical Centre (AMC) Hospitals.

Mayo Clinic Health System came in first place on the list that was dominated by US healthcare institutions.
King Hamad's University Hospital’s 44th place ranking put it second among the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) hospitals, behind Saudi Arabia's King Faisal Specialist Hospital and Research Centre (KFSHRC), which ranked 20th globally and first in MEA.
King Hamad's University Hospital is considered one of the pioneering medical institutions in Bahrain. The hospital provides comprehensive medical services to citizens, residents, and visitors
Brand Finance’s study examined more than 500 hospitals globally and more than 30 performance indicators were analyzed including healthcare, education, and research centeres. It also surveyed 2,500 leading healthcare professionals to build a peer-driven analysis of the performance of the world's leading AMC Hospitals
