King Salman Calls for Performing Rain Prayers on Thursday

The Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, called for the prayer for rain in all parts of the Kingdom, next Thursday, the 23rd of the month of Rabi` Al-Akhar 1444 AH.
The Royal Court statement stated, “Following the Sunnah of our Prophet Muhammad, may God bless him and grant him peace, to perform the prayer for rain, the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, decided to perform the prayer for rain in all parts of the Kingdom next Thursday, 23 of the month of Rabi’ Al-Akhar 1444 AH, according to the Umm Qura calendar.”

The statement added, "Everyone should seek forgiveness, return to God, Glory be to Him, and do good to his servants, and give preference to supererogatory acts of obedience”.
