Korean actor Kim Jisoo has officially joined GMA Network’s Sparkle, marking his debut as a Kapuso talent. The announcement comes as Jisoo prepares to make his mark in Philippine television.

Jisoo, known for his roles in popular Korean dramas like “Moonlovers: Scarlet Heart Ryeo” and “Strong Girl Bong-soon,” will soon appear in the GMA show “Abot-Kamay Na Pangarap,” playing a South Korean doctor. He will also be featured in the film “Mujigae” alongside Filipino stars Rufa Mae Quinto, Alexa Ilacad, and others.
Future Plans and Appearances
Lilybeth Rasonable, Senior Vice President for GMA’s Entertainment Group, hinted at a potential primetime series for Jisoo in the future. The signing ceremony took place at GMA’s Quezon City office, attended by several GMA executives and Universal Records Philippines Managing Director Kathleen Dy-Go.
A Return to the Spotlight
Jisoo's appearance in “Black Rider” and “Abot-Kamay Na Pangarap” marks his return to acting after a three-year hiatus. During this period, Jisoo had stepped away from his role in “River Where the Moon Rises” amid his bullying controversy and served his mandatory military duty in Korea.
Previous GMA Engagements
Before officially joining GMA, Jisoo was already familiar to local fans, having attended the GMA Gala where he won the Red Carpet Scene Stealer Award and participated in Kapuso Foundation’s relief efforts for Typhoon Carina victims.
