Lionel Messi, the star of the Argentine national team, revealed that the 2-1 loss against Saudi Arabia caused his son Matthew to enter a crying fit after the end of the match.
The Argentine national team opened its campaign in the World Cup by losing to Saudi Arabia by two goals to one, in the match that was held in the third group competitions.

Messi said in an interview broadcast by "Radio Catalunya" on Monday morning: "After the Saudi match, Matteo left the stadium crying."
The Paris Saint-Germain player has three sons, the eldest of whom is Thiago, the second is Matthew, and the youngest is called Ciro.
Messi added in his statements: After the loss against Saudi Arabia, my eldest son, Thiago, was doing the calculations to find out how we qualified for the second round, and he made it clear to me that if we won both matches, we would qualify.
