More than $ 3.7 million was raised during a TV Bahrain telethon for Syria and Turkey earthquake victims by the end of “The Day of Solidarity” campaign on Friday.
Bahrain TV organized in cooperation with the Royal Humanitarian Foundation (RHF) a national campaign under the theme “the Day of Solidarity” to support the quake victims.

Bahrainis, residents, national institutions and companies, banks, societies and other components of the society responded positively to the telethon launched on Bahrain TV to raise donations.
On Wednesday, Bahrain sent aid worth $1 million to help people in Türkiye and Syria devastated by last week’s earthquakes.
The 40 tonnes of much-needed medical supplies and basic necessities took off on a DHL flight from Bahrain International Airport yesterday, under the patronage of His Majesty King Hamad’s representative for humanitarian work and youth affairs and chairman of the National Committee to Support Earthquake Victims in Türkiye and Syria Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa.
More batches would be sent to the two countries in the coming days.
