New Zealand will ‘reconnect’ with the rest of the world in Dubai’s Expo 2020, Jacinda Ardern, New Zealand’s Prime Minister said.
"We're here to really kickstart New Zealand's presence and Expo 2020” she said at a media briefing this afternoon.

The Prime Minister said the event would show case what is unique about New Zealand "This - in a post-Covid world - will be a chance for New Zealand to reconnect with the world."

Trade Minister Damien O'Connor said: "We're aware of the danger of travelling internationally - but we expect by that time many [New Zealanders] would've had access to the vaccine".
New Zealand's pavilion, located in the Sustainability District of the Expo 2020 site, was 95 per cent complete in December.
Expo Dubai 2020 was set to be held last year but was put on hold by the Covid-19 pandemic. It will now run from October 1 to March 31, 2022.
