The 10th High Civil Court has ordered two doctors, and The Health Ministry to pay BD22,000 to a Bahraini and his wife who lost their twins as a result of medical errors committed by both doctors.

The verdict found the two defendants guilty in a way that obligates them to pay the victims' losses. Since the accused are employed by the ministry, the court additionally ordered that it pay the total amount. The court decision that proved the two kids didn't get the proper care because the defendants were careless revealed the doctors' responsibility for the twins' deaths.
Reem Khalaf, the attorney for the victims, claimed in her lawsuit that both accused were negligent when they forgot to check the twin babies' vital signs, which led to the newborns' deaths. According to the attorney, the defendants' mistake was proved in criminal justice and resulted in the plaintiffs experiencing physical and emotional loss for which they are getting BD30,000 in compensation.
