Schools in Qatar Celebrate Cultures of Countries of The World Cup 2022
Several schools in Qatar organized a number of events to introduce the cultures of the countries participating in the FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022, as part of the Ministry of Education and Higher Education’s support for the country’s efforts in hosting this global sporting event.
The events included a review of the cultures of the countries participating in the tournament, where the students get acquainted with their civilizations, arts and heritage, the most important landmarks and peoples, and their previous participation in the FIFA World Cup tournaments, and those that culminated in the tournament, in addition to the most prominent players in their teams.

Among the schools, Al Shorouk Model School for Boys celebrated the cultures of the countries participating in the World Cup by organizing exemplary performances about the life of the ancient Qatari society in a special cultural corner that included heritage collectibles, folk games, traditional costumes, and the customs and traditions of the people of the desert, in addition to a football field.
The students at the school also reviewed their abilities and talents in the arts of drawing and coloring their Qatari environment, through which they embodied the close interrelationship between the present and the past, as well as celebrating the heritage of some Arab countries, including pictures and models of their civilization and its most important landmarks.
The Childhood Department at Al Wakra Primary School also held an entertainment day on the occasion of its celebration of the cultures of the countries participating in the FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022.
In her speech on this occasion, Naima Boucherbak Al Mansouri, School Principal, stressed that Qatar's hosting of this international event is a great achievement and a source of pride for the entire Arab world... Noting the generosity and hospitality of the people of Qatar and their welcome to the different cultures of the countries participating in the World Cup.
In a related context, the schools also reviewed the Qatari heritage, the old Qatari folk games, and other related heritage, cultural and civilizational activities.
In the same context, the Early Education Department at Maimouna Primary School for Girls celebrated this cultural occasion, and prepared and implemented a comprehensive program on the cultures of the countries participating in the tournament, which included introducing the students to their various cultures, which contributes to enhancing their knowledge, values, cultural and sports diversity, in addition to presenting presentations on The Qatari heritage included folk games and the old traditional dress.
It is noteworthy that the Ministry of Education and Higher Education recently organized, with great success, the activities, and events of the "Student World Cup 2022", which promoted the FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022, strengthening the national identity of students, and making them an important part of the tournament.
These World Cup activities included four events: “What if I were an international referee 2022” for the secondary stage, hosted by Ahmed bin Mohammed Secondary School for Boys in cooperation with the Referees Committee of the Qatar Football Association, and the “Sports Shows” competition for the primary and model stages, in cooperation with the Qatar Women’s Sports Committee, In addition to the "World Cup Young Commentator 2022" competition in cooperation with Abdullah bin Al-Zubair Model School for Boys at the level of the model stage, in addition to the closing event under the name "World Cup Day" at Yarmouk Preparatory School for Boys.
