Six Bahraini citizens have been safely evacuated from the Gaza Strip to the neighboring country of Egypt through the Rafah border crossing.

This operation was carried out under the directives of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, with the support of Crown Prince and Prime Minister His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa.

The Consular Affairs Sector will continue to monitor the situation in Palestine and assist remaining citizens in need of evacuation. 

The ministry added that citizens can contact the follow-up office at the ministry for further assistance, available around the clock, at +973 17227 555, or reach out to the embassy of Bahrain in Amman, Jordan.

The ongoing humanitarian crisis in Gaza and reports of innocent civilians including women and children being killed underscore the need for the immediate release of hostages and de-escalation to avoid further casualties

The crisis events have also led to a surge in fundraising and donations in the Gulf countries for the Palestinian people impacted.
