The Busiest day is set to see 257,000 Travellers at Dubai Airport
As the holidays get closer, tourists are rushing to the emirate in large numbers, and the Dubai International Airport is preparing for its busiest day yet with 257,000 travelers.
Nearly 2 million passengers are anticipated to pass through DXB over the course of the following eight days beginning on Tuesday, with daily traffic averaging up to 245,000 people.
Due to a number of events, including seasonal visitor traffic and the recently concluded FIFA World Cup in Doha, the facility has been particularly busy this month. Additionally, visitors from many countries have traveled for Christmas and New Year's Eve celebrations. A statement by the airport said, “Dubai Airports is working closely with airlines, control authorities, and commercial and service partners to ensure a smooth airport experience for arriving and departing passengers.”
To ensure a smooth travel experience, the operator has advised passengers to plan their journeys and follow some simple travel advice:
- Smart Gates are available to families taking children over the age of 12 to ease passport control.
- During rush hour, the roads leading to the airport could be crowded. Planning extra time to travel to and through the airport is advisable.
- Arrive at the airport no earlier than three hours before takeoff if you are traveling from Terminal 1.
- To start your journey smoothly, utilize online and self-service options when they are available.
- Emirates offers early and self-service check-in options for passengers departing from Terminal 3.
- It can be very time-efficient to weigh luggage at home, verify paperwork beforehand, and be ready for security inspections.
- For transportation to and from the airport, use the Dubai Metro. From December 31, 2022, to January 1, 2023, the Dubai Metro, which features stations at Terminals 1 and 3 of DXB, will be open 24/7.
- As only passengers are normally permitted into the airports at peak times, say your goodbyes at home.
Friends and relatives are encouraged to utilize the designated airport parking lots or valet service to comfortably meet their guests because entry to the arrival forecourts in Terminals 1 and 3 is only permitted by authorized automobiles and public transportation.
To ensure a pleasant airport experience for travelers coming and exiting, Dubai Airports works closely with airlines and partners.
