The petition is available on the Avaaz website and X users in Bahrain have been sharing the link for the petition since Nov. 20.
The petition has already been signed by 894 people and the goal is to reach 1,000 signees.
The petition calls to cancel the 50 Cent concert because it is inappropriate for Bahrain to host a music concert during the ongoing conflict in Gaza, where Israeli attacks have killed more than 14,000 Palestinians.
The petition's authors also stated that people who attend the concert will indirectly accept the singer's stance on the conflict in Gaza.

Despite this petition, neither the concert's organizers nor Al Dana Amphitheatre have addressed the petition and its concerns or indicated an intention to cancel the event.
Rescheduling of Other Events
In other developments, the globally renowned band Maroon 5's concert at Al Dana Amphitheatre was rescheduled from its original date of Nov. 13, 2023, to Feb. 17, 2024.
Similarly, famous comedian Jo Koy's comedy show, initially scheduled for Oct. 27, 2023, is pushed back to May 24th, 2024.
The reasons behind this rescheduling remain unclear, however, it came about after the increasing escalation of violence in Gaza.
Al Dana Amphitheatre has shared a countdown of days remaining for the 50 Cent concert on its Instagram, therefore it does not seem that the organizers will cancel the concert any time soon.
