The Polymerase Chain Reaction (PCR) test price reduction came through as the authorities wanted to push forward considering the widespread testing to identify cases. For those that require tests frequently to travel to Abu Dhabi for work purposes, the screening process became quite pricey due to the regularity of tests overtime.

Around a month ago tests were priced at Dhs370.
As reported by The National, to get tested for Dhs150 call 800 342 and book it at any of the following centers which are included: Dubai Hospital, Rashid Hospital, Latifa Women and Children Hospital, Hatta Hospital, Shabab Al-Ahli FC, Al Nasr FC, Al Rashidiya Majlis, Al Hamriya Port Majlis, Jumeirah 1 Port Majlis or any small Primary Health care centre.
The idea behind the price reduction was to test as many people as possible for faster detection and to increase the pace of community transmission of the virus.
Dubai residents can call 800342, which is a toll free number, to make an appointment for the test. The results are typically issued within 24 to 48 hours.
