The UAE Condemns the Terrorist Attack on a Hotel in Mogadishu

The UAE strongly condemned the terrorist attack, which targeted a hotel in the Somali capital Mogadishu, killing 16 people and wounding 40 innocent people, in addition to destroying large parts of the hotel. The UAE also expressed its strong condemnation of these criminal acts, and its permanent rejection of all forms of violence and terrorism, which aims to destabilize security and is inconsistent with religious and humanitarian values and principles.
The UAE Ministry of Foreign Affairs offered its sincere condolences and sympathy to the families of the victims as a result of this heinous crime and wishes a speedy recovery to all the injured.

It is noteworthy that this is the first attack of this size launched by Al-Shabaab in the capital Mogadishu since the formation of the new Somali government, and it was launched in the "Hayat" hotel, which is a favorite destination frequented by members of parliament and other government officials.
