The American shot putter Raven Saunder has been making waves on social media for wearing a full-face mask during their participation at the Paris Olympics 2024.

Saunders sported a black, full-face mask with sunglasses on Thursday, Aug. 8 at the shot put qualification for the finals on Friday. The athlete sported purple and neon-green dyed hair. They also had gold grills on their lower and lower sets of teeth.
They started wearing the mask during the COVID-19 pandemic and have continued wearing the mask to stay focused and avoid distractions during the tournament.
Saunders debuted at the 2016 Rio Olympics and won a silver medal at the 2020 Tokyo Olympics.
