Once in effect, the new system will connect all of the traffic departments in the GCC by means of a unified system for the payment of fines across every GCC country. There is no way to avoid paying fines for traffic violations.

In addition to ensuring every individual is accountable who violates the traffic law in a GCC country, the new system will likely lower traffic violations. This will also put an end to the violations committed by certain drivers who relocate to another GCC country without paying the fine.

The working group's 19th meeting, which was held via video conference on Tuesday, covered topics relating to the launch of the unified system in the GCC Countries, namely, Bahrain, Kuwait, Oman, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, and the UAE.
