UAE Leaders Meet To Discuss Hope Probe Before It Reaches Mars

His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces, met His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice-President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai on Monday to discuss the nation's achievements, ahead of the country's historic Hope probe entrance into Mars' orbit on February 9.
The UAE’s rulers were updated on the progress of the probe during the meeting by Sarah Al-Amiri, Minister of State for Advanced Sciences and Science Lead of the Emirates Mars Mission.
Sheikh Mohamed Bin Zayed took to Twitter on Monday to share pictures from the meeting and encourage all those involved.
My brother Mohammed bin Rashid and I discussed our national achievements, particularly in space and science, and our pride in the nation’s youth. "My brother Mohammed bin Rashid and I discussed our national achievements, particularly in space and science, and our pride in the nation’s youth," he said.
"We wish you all success on this historic journey," he added.
The Dubai Ruler noted that the probe is set to reach the Red Planet on February 9 after a journey of 493 million kilometres.
